SERVANTHOOD

The one who hung on the cross
Examplified it,
God in human form yet carried service in his heart
As he stooped to wash
the feet of the disciples..
They called for a hand,
He gave two handss.
They called for a leg,
He gave two legs,
Emptied himself in love....

When the venom of pride has
drained out of the heart,
cause nothing we have is really ours,
We are mere custodians,
Then we can dance to the tune of servanthood.
To extend a hand to another without care of self,
This is where true nobles are made.
Too many scrambling for the frontline,
Few will stand behind the scenes
Where God really has his eyes.

From the corridor of servanthood.
unsung heroes will emerge,
Servants hold the place and cannot
be done without.
Servants will outshine those who sit to stare....
